The Norton St. House includes a full suite of amenities thoughtfully designed to support comfort, connection, and independence while living sober. From fully equipped kitchens and comfortable common areas to high-speed internet and on-site laundry, every detail is intended to make residents feel at home.

Responsibility & Respect

Expectations & Community Standards

Sobriety First

Absolutely no drug or alcohol use is allowed at any time. Regular and random testing ensures a safe and supportive living environment for all residents.

Meeting Attendance

All residents are required to attend a minimum of three outside recovery meetings per week to stay actively engaged in their sobriety.

Curfew

A set curfew is in place to promote structure and accountability—10 PM Sunday through Thursday, and 11 PM on Fridays and Saturdays.

Purposeful Living

Within 14 days of moving in, residents must be working, volunteering, or attending school to support personal growth and responsibility.

House Meetings

Weekly house meetings are mandatory and serve to build community, encourage open communication, and foster accountability among peers.

Chores

Every resident is assigned weekly chores to help maintain a clean, respectful, and cooperative living environment for the entire house.

Respect

All residents are expected to treat one another with kindness, respect personal boundaries, and use appropriate, recovery-oriented language.

Guest Policy

Guests are permitted only during designated hours with prior approval. Overnight guests are not allowed under any circumstances to protect the integrity of the house.

He offers support, guidance, and leadership to residents while ensuring the environment remains consistent and recovery-centered. The home also encourages peer mentorship—with more experienced residents offering guidance and support to those newer in their journey. This dynamic helps everyone grow together.

There is no strict limit. As long as you follow the house rules and remain committed to recovery, you are welcome to stay.

Yes, within reason. Most basics are provided, but personal bedding, lamps, or small furnishings are welcome.

For safety reasons, a relapse means immediate discharge. Re-entry may be possible after a period of sobriety and review.

Yes! You’ll have access to the full kitchen and food storage. Residents are responsible for their own groceries and meals. 

That’s okay. You’ll have two weeks to find work, volunteer, or begin school while living in the house if you are not engaged in an outpatient recovery programs.
